Units responded this evening for a house fire in Glenwood in the 13-01 box. At 18:27 the tones sounded for a reported fire on the deck of a home in the 2800 block of Belle Hollow Court, bringing units from WFVFD and surrounding stations. Upon arrival EMS Battalion Chief 3 found fire showing and requested the working fire dispatch as well as a tanker task force. Crews quickly had water on the fire in an offensive attack before switching to defensive as a water supply was established. Tankers from Howard, Carroll, and Montgomery Counties utilized cisterns at Station 13 and at Longfield Road in the tanker shuttle to fill the dump site at Belle Hollow. The fire was placed under control at 20:15. Tower 3 was the first due aerial and Chief 3A held the water supply command. Units operated on scene until midnight.
Thank you to Baltimore County Engine 41 (Catonsville) for filling in the station during the incident.
