Units from WFVFD and Sykesville Freedom District Fire Department were dispatched today to a serious motor vehicle accident on Route 32 at Amberwoods Way. At 17:23, units responded and found three vehicles involved - a sedan that was stopped on Route 32 attempting to make a left turn onto Amberwoods Way, a Chevrolet van that rear ended the sedan, and a pickup truck that was traveling south on Route 32 that struck the sedan after it was rear ended. Sykesville Paramedic 128 transported one Priority 3 patient, another priority 3 patient refused transport, and the driver of the sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. Units cleared the scene at 18:35 after assisting Howard County Police with their investigation.
