DIRECTIONS TO THE TRAINING ROOM

The Training Room is located at the back of the station.  After entering the station driveway, take a right and continue down the hill through that parking lot.  The Training room entrance is located at the end of the parking lot in front of  the handicap parking spaces.

RENTAL INFORMATION

The West Friendship Volunteer Fire Department does not have a hall, however we do have a carpeted Training Room that is occasionally available for rental with the following terms:

1. The Training Room at the West Friendship Volunteer Fire Department is designed for government-sponsored fire and rescue training classes and meetings, which take precedence over public use.  We occasionally rent the room for single-use civic and social events to those who reside within our immediate service area if the room is available. 
2. Because WFVFD is a neutral government entity, it does not endorse, foster or promote any commercial, political, or religious organization; therefore we do not rent the room for those type of events in order to avoid any misperceptions.
3. The Training Room must be made available to the fire department during severe weather events; consequently it will be closed to the public if any closures, cancellations, or delays are announced for Howard and/or Carroll counties.
4. You must reside in the area primarily served by the WFVFD (eastward from MD Rt. 97 to Marriottsville Road, and northward from Burntwoods Road to the Carroll/Howard County line).
5. No alcoholic beverages of any kind are permitted anywhere on the property of the WFVFD.
6. The room measures approximately 33’ X 73’, and contains six-foot long tables and chairs set up in classroom style.  Maximum seating at tables is 48, with a maximum seating of 60.
7. There are no kitchen facilities, nor are there any catering services.
8. Since we have no custodial staff, renters are responsible for returning the room to the condition it was in prior to the rental, which includes cleaning, vacuuming, and trash removal.  Set-up and clean-up must be done within the scheduled rental hours (Note: Cleaning materials and dumpster are provided).
9. Auxiliary members of the WFVFD will be on the premises to deal with any issues pertaining to the building, not to clean or serve food.
10. The Training Room and restrooms are the only areas of the station open to the public during private events.
11. Renter must provide a certificate of insurance from their insurer, providing coverage to the WFVFD during the use of the Community Room.
