At 14:03 this afternoon Howard County 911 began receiving multiple calls about smoke in the area of Route 32 and I-70, with callers reporting some kind of fire nearby. With the smoke column visible from the firehouse, Engine 32 arrived quickly in the 2000 block of Route 32 in the 3-1 box to find a two-story outbuilding near a residence with fire showing from the charlie side. 32 pulled an attack line to side charlie to begin fire attack and to cool down an above ground propane tank that was venting. The fire was out at 14:52 and units remained on scene to conduct salvage and overhaul, clearing at 16:30.
